Such a lovely image; something worthy of a place on the wall. Great capture and I really like the processing. (voted earlier) |

Very delicate with all the light grasses. Swallows are tough to capture in flight; I commend you for getting that much detail!! |

A beautifully composed nature shot. These don't so often move me to comment, but I love the composition here. |

This is a lush, rich painting. The hint of the second crane, the grace and precision of the swallows, all bathed in the brushstrokes of the grasses. What a beautiful catch! |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: Bird shots are pretty common in the Free Studies but this one stands out from the crowd. A wonderful composition and lovely, dreamy coloration. The timing here is exquisite and the depth of field works so well to keep our attention where it needs to be.
Critical stuff: Nope.
Overall: Excellent work. More than the sum of its parts. |

This is such a delicate image, Wendy. I love how the swallows look like they're dancing with each other, mirror images, and the cranes are the audience. |

I like how the bluebird stands out from the pale/pastel background in flight, and how it is mirrored by another bluebird. |

What a cool capture! I wonder if the cranes were close to the swallow nest. |
