This shot would have benefited from sharper focus. |

Doesn't feel very sharp. Would be more enticing for me if it was. |

A different composition and maybe some bananas in the shot would have made this one better imho. Even if the banana's were in the background with a shallow dof. |

I like how you let it melt a little, and that there's a pattern on the bowl. This gives a more homey and less commecial feel. The texture on the bowl matches the texture of the ice cream |

Coming back to leave comments after voting. MMmmm, ice cream. You have some great tones in the color of the cream - white, rich and creamy with pieces of banana in the scoops. Very appealing and tasty looking. The presentation of the ice cream however could be better. A straight down shot does very little to boast the appeal of the ice cream. A suggestion to make the composition more mouth watering and shoot the composition into the excellent category (8-10) I would recommend shooting it at a lower angle such that the ice cream is rising above the lip of the bowl. Giving us a bowl of plenty - a mountain of ice cream that we can plunge a spoon into!!!! |

I would definitely dig into this bowl. Love a good banana ice cream. Photographically speaking it could have been stronger, crop is a bit unbalanced on the sides. Probably would have preferred a square crop maybe showing the entire bowl. |

I could go for some of this right about now.
I would like to suggest that you make sure to watch out for deep shadows in a photo like this. The viewer normally wants to see details in the entire scene, which these shadows are hiding. Maybe another light source from the left would help. |
