I had this down as the "best of the bunch". I Think it deserved much better than 47th. Great job! |

Congrat's
At Least you made the top 50, I personally loved this shot, and gave it a 9. Everything just jumps out at you without overwhelming the eye, must be the infrared....are you going to offer it as prints?

One of my favorites of this challenge, this shot has a kind of surreal and nostalgic feel to me - good job |

Quite a stiking image but somehow the lighting doesn't look right with that sky? Plenty of lead-ins and the perspective is good. |

I think this shot meets the challenge head on with a variety of perspectives. I don't mind the black and white or almost solarized look. However the shot is somewhat grainy or over sharpened. In my own humble opinion, this shot could been made even more dramatic by doing two things; Getting down low below the railing and turning the camera vertical. Getting lower would have broadened thsidewal and funneled the viewer's eyes down the path. Best of luck. |

a lovely composition, but cant help feeling the B&W is a bit too monochrome - still full of atmosphere love the clouds in the background the simple path looks great with all that is going on around it, it highlights the vanishing point by being so simple |

Lovely lighting and with the clouds in the background it makes the black and white even more perfect! |

Not bad, but I would rather see this picture not so lopsided. You have a fence and trees on one side, but then somewhat random cars, a street, then more trees. If you could have made it more symmetrical, it would've looked much better, but I do like the path. 5 |

Very interesting b&w - it has a bit of an infared feel. It's rather centered but that works ok for me since the left and right sides are so different. |

This is good, indeed. The compositional balance of the railing with the sweep that runs through the arc of trees into the clouds is exceptionally well caught, and something many would have missed. It allowa you comfortably to place your vanishing point dead centre, without seeming constrained by rigidity, and all that with the top execution of a monochrome conversion. Good thought, good vision. Nit-picking, I would ask for a slightly higher crop, is the sweep of that arc were continued in the clouds sufficiently just to start bringing the eye back around to image left - it would just complete that draw to that point from all areas of the pic, continually letting the eye be brought back into the frame, and drawn up, around, and to the left again. Pure composition, of course, but in this case it's enough to overcome the mundanity of subject - in fact to make that very mundanity a source of great joy, especially against the near-overwhelming attempted greetings-card of much of the site. Most refreshing. 9 for now. |

This photo is different. I don't normally like B&W but this has a quality I like. The sky, even with its white clouds looks darker that the trees and street. Interesting. Has a "calm before the storm" feeling. 9 |
