 Shot at night. All the light in the image comes from the lightning. I just shot successive 8 sec exposures and hoped for a bolt from the blue. I got several lightning bolts and the exposure changed depending on how bright the lightning was. This was one of the best ones.
BTW it was shot on a nikon D3 with a 50mm f/1.4 lens but the UI doesn't give me an option to change. I use several different cameras but the UI seems to like my mamiya
