 I haven't shot for myself all month, but this big fella landed on a cable line that runs in front of my second story patio. It was like he was say, "come on, I'm right here". He is very much alive, and this was shot during the day outside.

I think it is a really cool picture. I like the way you highlighted the "glittery" part of the dragonfly.

These guys are absolutely FEARLESS. I was on a shoot once, and one of these landed on a plant a few yards from me. I used my zoom to capture it before it flew off at my approach. But it never did. I eventually took several shots from just a few inches away, and it just sat there, enjoying the afternoon sun, and apparently, my attention.

I absolutely love that glimmer. The detail really pops with the strong contrast and alternations of complimentary yellow and blue.

Great contrast, but really needed some more DOF...the tips of the wings are distractingly out-of-focus.
