The dramatic sky is nice and a plus to your photograph. However, I do think the shot is taken from to long of a distance to give me a feeling of abandon. I find the foreground catching my eye and then looking up at the sky. It would have been nice if you could have gotten closeup and taken a low point of view shot that included the building and sky. Try to keep your subject on the rule of thirds as well. Hope this helps. |

At this distance it is difficult to get the sense of abandonment. |

Like: The find, the water.
Dislike: That the clouds are grey :(
What went wrong with the people living there?
EDIT: I sensed this might have been Holland because of the grey sky and the canal. :)

What a perfect exposure! This almost looks like film. You did a great job with that. What needs work is the composition. It needs something to make it more dynamic. As the composition is now being all centered, it is a good static documentary image. |
