 I decided to go the boring route for stripes and just went to the zoo.
Very little editing done for this. The only advanced editing was making the eyes pop a bit more, and besides that all I did was Curves.
What I love about this picture is how dang sharp it is. In the full version every tongue ridge is in sharp detail.

Hope this does well. I like it a lot.
But I haven't been having much luck with challenges lately so we shall see.

Such awesome detail and texture. That tongue is really detailed as well as the eyes and face. Awesome and uber sharp! If there were anything to suggest trying differently I would suggest filling the frame with the tiger to remove the environment, especially for this challenge. Otherwise, spectacular image.

Tigers are so magnificent. But I am always saddened by how they look in zoos. The contracted pupils, the panting, the ears drawn back - all signs of stress and boredom. Not to mention he's probably very thirsty.

Nice capture, but I am not sure on the expression here, the eyes look intimidating but the mouth looks like he is yawning, ears back gives the impression that he is scared.
