 I'm sure that some of you won't agree that this fit's the "botany" theme, but I think it does. To me, the first thing that jumps out is the red rose.

Well composed and executed image. Doesn't feel very "botanical" to me, but that doesn't diminish it IMO. Focus is superb. Lighting of the flower is effective.

i wouldn't have cut off the rose petal
and yes it has a flower in it, but that doesn't really hold the theme of the photo.
