 As if by magic this landscape still takes my breath away after all these years...I never get tired of the ocean or the the hills or the fog that rolls in every day. It is my home!

No, I did not shoehorn this as to me the definition of home is where I feel the most happy. This is the place...

I am guessing this will not do so well, no apple pie or house to identify the "home" part, so therefore I think the DP community will give me maybe a 4 or maybe a 5 if they are having a good week :)

Beautiful capture of the Cali coast. Looks like I thought so too back at challenge time too. I grew up in S California and spent a lot of time driving the coast.

I was just going to ask if you've ever tried to access this beach... the last time I drove past i considered hopping the fence but the signs were pretty obvious as I recall. Someday...

@ Bear -- maybe the Rancher has sold his property to a nicer rancher.

Thank you for your comment! :) The things in the water are rocks, huge rocks and also it might look better without them that is what it looks like in reality and since I have have driven by there hundreds of times over the years I would probably notice that they were missing :)
and according to DPC rules would have been disqualified for removing them. (You may NOT use ANY editing tool to move, remove or duplicate any element of your photograph that would change a typical viewer̢۪s description of the photograph (aside from color or crop), even if the tool is otherwise legal, and regardless of whether you intended the change when the photograph was taken.)

If I thought you really DID live there in Big Sur I'd be wildly jealous :-) I remember trespassing on that beach once, back in the 1970's -- got chased off by an angry rancher.

This looks awesome! I have always wanted to go to California. Because it is advanced editing I would have gotten rid of that thing in the water... Boat? Rock? Either way it is a touch distracting to the horizon line. Other than that this is awesome!

It's so interesting how different the coastlines are in different areas. The Texas Gulf Coast is so flat. The water is warm. The first time I put my foot in the Pacific, I thought it was so cold!! LOVELY scene.
