Thank you all for your comments. Landz, in this region this would be considered a cliche Chesapeake photo and even without a caption it would say "Chesapeake." But in areas where people are not familiar with the Chesapeake Bay I see your point. Robert, this is a place we visit often and next time we're there I'll try your suggestion of lowering the perspective to raise the pilings into the skyline. |

Title dependent. But other than that, this is a wonderful shot. Perfect exposure, very nice composition. Love the colors. But even with a title spelled out, the letter C just doesn't sink in well. |

It's really unfortunate that you allowed the tops of the columns to be tangent to the horizon. Lowering the camera 12 or 18 inches would have made a world of difference. |
