This should have won. This is a great shot.
I am just a beginner, but I know a good shot when I see one, and this is a superb shot.
For me, this is a very inspirational shot and has given me some great ideas.
When I looked at this image from a distance, it looked as though it was a comic book image, almost in the style of Norman Rockwell. As I moved closer, the image came to life.
I don't have a Wide Angle Lens yet, but this has inspired me to consider purchasing one, where I can use the lens distortion effectively.
The over sharpening was also inspirational, because secretly in my sub conscious this is the genre that I am attracted to most.
As soon as I saw your image, my boyhood dreams came to life.
Whether I can achieve this, is a different story. I am just starting out so I have a long way to go.

Love the quirky look on on his face and the fisheye has added enough distortion to be interesting. B&W has worked in its favour also. Should do very well. |
