 Early morning stalking with the dog and i found the canal's resident Crane. I managed to get within 15 feet of the Crane before it bolted. Rattled off a few shots and hoped for the best.

I processed the image initially in colour but decided to go with B&W as i felt it had more impact, the voters will let me know if i was right or wrong.

PSE 8 High pass filter.
Topaz denoise.

Edit - Thank You Lawry, you are correct its a Grey Heron...Ooops
