 Laura is a French exchange student we had staying with us for a couple of weeks at the start of this month. Coincidentally she was the subject in my last free study too.

She's a really nice girl and also enjoys photography (you can see a camera in her hand in this shot), so as a result of this I took most of my photos this month in the first two weeks while she was still about - normally taking my camera out with friends results in bored looks pretty quickly.

Not sure if this is street portraiture in the true sense since she's not a stranger, but this is my first portrait either way =). Taken at night with a flash just as she was turning around.

No idea how others will rate this (I imagine some will find the face a little too blown), but unlike my other recent entries where I haven't had the time to shoot/process to a level I'm happy with, this I have so I don't mind how it scores, I like it either way =). Only tough part was deciding whether to submit the black and white or colour version.
