So this is what a scribe does. Shame the lighting is not better. Too much distraction in the upper right corner. I'm still trying to figure out why a nose is laying on your desk, behind the wire. Beautiful table and better light would have shown it off too. Unclutter the table and better lighting and you have a good photo. 5 PTL

Diffusing the flash with (for example) a piece of tissue would eliminate the distracting hotspot on the wood below the notebook. A tighter, less centered composition would add interest. What's with the nose?
