Actually, 10,000 feet above sea level. So, not much hurricane risk, but this sunrise warns of a change in the weather for the worse. Indeed, the following three days were cold and cloudy with much rain.

No saturation added. I sometimes think the people who have never seen the long wavelength at high altitude are skeptical. This is the way it looked to my eyes.

I'm standing on a mountain in RMNP at 10,000' feet above sea level. The sunlight is coming from a horizon several hundred miles away. This amount of atmosphere, through which the light passes, filters all but the longest wavelength light, hence the reds, magenta and orange. |

Very interesting treatment on this one. I love the contrast of the trees in the valley, but the high saturation has created a bit of an issue just above the sun. I'm pleased with the low amount of noise on the clouds, I know that can be tough! Well done. |

The technicolor magenta and purle is a bit unreal, but definitely gives this some "oomph". |
