 This is why I bought the Canon G11. Fits in my pocket and even though it is not quite up to DSLR image quality, I can squeeze some challenge-worthy shots out of it.

I'm not happy with the slight amount of banding in the sky, but I think I am being overly picky. Minor banding usually does not hurt an entry and in this challenge, many others will be dealing with the same issue. Besides, I think the raking shadows will be what grabs everyone's eyes.

Post-challenge notes:
A 5.9 is usually a score I'm happy with, but I was certain I had a strong 6+ with this one. That and the lone comment tells me it was perceived as "good but forgettable" by most. I'm a bit disappointed by this performance.

Nice tiny violin :) Wonderful light. Great sun in the (very literally) frame and the long shadows are indeed very beautiful. My guess (for an even better score) is that the focus should have been on the bike rider instead of the foreground.

This did well by me. Meant to come back and comment but apparently did not. Excellent timing with the sun position and LOVE the long shadows. Probably more appealing to those of us who ride than those who don't but it is still a strong entry. Note you have nothing below a 4!

I thought I left a Yo comment on this... duhhh, I figured I had missed it being yours since I didn't hear from you... I wonder who's I left that on? Some thinks I R a Idiot!! Nice job and really impressed knowing it's a point n shoot shot!
