 8 people thought it was real...

8 people thought it was fake...

And Langdon...to break the tie...thought it was FAKE.... so 9 to 8 fake...

the photo is faked...no V-Dub in the bottle...lol

Was really surprised about the score and the reception the photo received..I thank everyone..it was a fun challenge...as for the pic...it actually was an after thought...shoving a quick edit in in time for rollover, didn't think I could beat my WPL score in the previous challenge...but I tried...and it worked.

The shadow the car is casting makes it look like it's fake. Whether it was done digitally or not, I just can't tell.. it seems like the car is simply behind the bottle. Nice idea though, different take on a ship in a bottle.

This is a very good execution of the challenge. This could very easily go either way and it's hard to guess which it is. My guess is that it's a model. My guess is that you shot the model separately from the bottle under the same lighting conditions then composited the two images. The car looks like a model to me because of the reflections and the curves of the car don't look like they would on a full size model. Besides, you'd need a pretty big white sheet to photograph it on!

Great concept. On thumbnail alone, it was one of my faves. What answers the question of 'is it really inside the bottle' is the shadows under the car. P'Shop!?

One thing is for sure: the car is not in the bottle. Otherwise the shadow beneath the car would have been on the same spot as the shadow beneath the bottle. Now, the car behind the bottle is a possibility, but then I would think the car would not be that crisp. So, this leaves me a 3th possibility: 1 photograph of the bottle and a 2nd of the car, merged together.

Cute!! I'd say photoshopped. There's no distortion in the car to make me think it is in a bottle.

I don't think the beetle is actually in the bottle, I think it's two separate images combined in post, like the B+W and you've done a nice job of photographing the glass
