 A thrilling ascension of the Fronalpstock via the alpine route of Chälen was rewarded by a little moment of good lighting from the clouds in front of the sun.

I cropped a stripe of sky which seems not very interesting, and optimized the white balance with the eyedroppers from curves, as there was a blue haze. Slightly sharpened. I am happy with the result.

Ah yes and the title: you can see the Rütli meadow at the bottom of the land, about a third from the right. It is apparently where the representatives of the 3 cantons which originally formed Switzerland met to swear an alliance against the nasty Habsburgs in 1291.
