Shot as the sun was coming up on hour 19 of a 24hour race from a lighting tower over a tight corner.

Shot too soon for the "From Above III" Challenge.

Not a good shot for "above".....and locking the thread was stupid.

Hmm... I think this would have done poorly.

Bad crop, not a particularly interesting subject, and most significant of all, not from above.

Just my opinion, clearly some of the others disagree.

Concur about the crop, further since he appears to be leaning into a curve, I get no sense of the shot being taken from anywhere but straight across the in field, the shadows certainly do not imply that this was taken from above. I am not saying the image was not taken from above, only that it fails to convey the sense of looking down. Simply put, this would have been a bit of a shoehorn for this challenge.

This same subject, framed looser, seen from above with a long shadow trailing out behind/to the side, with the full shadow in frame, would have been an absolute killer,

Nice crisp focus. Colors are bright which grabs your eye. Can tell you are looking down on subject which fits the challenge. The crop is a bit tight. In this case I think the biker needs a bit more room to give it a feeling of movement and direction.

great detail and color but it needs a different crop, its not a bad photo, its just not interesting. i probably would have scored a 5.

I don't think it would have done well (at least not for my standards, LOL). it is well focused and color/contrast are good, but I find the crop to be way too close, I don't have the feling of speed and action. I also can't see much of the drivers face/emotions nor of the bike. All I see is a lot of stickers. Overall not too interesting.
