 This is in fact a water baloon bursting, captured at high speed, rotated horizontal, converted to B&W and then inversed

Your balloon looks like a snail to me.

I don't think I will be voting because of "If it is recognizable as an object - it is not an abstract" which I don't entirely agree with...
