This was definitely a first for me on many levels including my very first time using studio lighting. It was nice to have the opportunity to experiment with more than just my camera.

For those who asked, my title is from the poem "The Jabberwocky", an excerpt out of Through the Looking Glass.

And I am the girl in the chair. =) My friend Lani was my +1.

Interesting mood to this image. Looks like our house with all the books piled up everywhere! A couple of things "jar" for me, the pattern of the jacket seems dissonant against the other more organic shapes and more subtle pattens; and that it looks like one woman's foot is stuck right in the middle of the book the other woman is reading. Nice leading lines.

Lovely everything but those girls are going to go blind if they keep reading is such dim light. Brighter is better, other than the very narrow tonal range this would have been right up there,

Have no clue what the title means (I am probably just too old) but I am enjoying the image. The low light and softness works very well.
