Beautiful shot. I really like the name too. Well done. I would have voted a 10.

I like the angle and composition you chose for this. shows you think out of the box. the harsh background coupled with the flower center is a theme that was good to repeat.

The composition you arrived at is just outstanding. What a wonderful image to linger and stare at. Beautiful work!! The detail and crispness are amazing, and the DOF just perfect.

Very nice sharp detail. Love the lines in the head of the coneflower.

I like that you can still see the brick path beyond the flowers - having the other flower half way between the subject and the path acts as an intermediary between the main flower and the background. I like the subtle diagonal created by the bricks that leads us in from the top left and right to that dramaticly framed flower which is crisp and full of color! 9

Nice macro - I would have liked to see a darker background - good job!

Why did you include ther blurred one? The one up front is spectacular and shouldn't be sharing the stage. IMHO BOL

Beautiful shot. I found some of these too, but in the end couldn't get one good enough to submit. Excellent crop and composition too. Very nice!

Wonderful cone flower in a great composition. The repeating pattern of the second flower works well. I do not like the man-made background at all - it adds unnecessary square shapes and a color that detracts from the image. But - the main cone flower is so perfect and powerful, so it still gets high marks.
