I liked the concept of this photo, this sure represent one aspect of botany, the need and search of water by plants. In this challenge I have felt that creativity scored lesser than the beauty. Wishing you all the best with youe next submissions and am looking forward to them.
cheers,
KG

I get it. It's even a relatively nice photo. But, I can't rate it very high since I really am more drawn to those photos reflecting the beauty of nature. |

imo needs some white tones in the photo to better balance the blacks, right now the lights are more yellow than white |

A fun idea! The roots reaching out to the watering can are great! I think if the spout were pointed away from the plant it would create more motivation. The light is too yellow - you can adjust in the camera before you shoot of fix in photoshop. A whiteboard placed right would get rid of relections in the surfaceof the watering can. |

I like the high contrast of this image. The gold tones and reflections are pleasing (except the reflection of the photographer). Focus is good. Comp's fine. I am bothered by the fact that the post and can seem to be floating in air. I can see why you cropped it the way you did to get the right balance, but it still bothers me for some reason. |

This composition has an almost electric feel to it. Those wires or stems reaching out toward the watering can are spooky. I think the black background works well, but the leaves look a little messy or something, and detract from the otherwise simplistic beauty. It also seems as though you're visible in the reflection off the metal can. Maybe use your timer to take yourself out of the shot, or do some cloning to remove the distractible elements of the reflection. 7 |
