I actually saw a whale in this one. The mouth is the baleen plates (I think that's what they're called) and the bit of texture on the right his tail.
A sad whale I saw, of course :-)
Got a good vote from me!

To me one of the best, John. Very poignant

loved your shot from the very beginning, John. Abstract, but emotive

Severe Modern suffering. The Fauvists would be proud. Or is it the Primitivists?

Yes, a very touching shrine.
(Am wondering if less contrast would not be better)

Indeed. Nicely seen. The high contrast and something else I can't pinpoint suggests an antique photograph. Years of tears.

looks like the art my old boyfriend did in Brooklyn in 1976........still crying after all these years...... this moved me though....enough to stop to look at it.....I dunno...some of the shots in this challenge are p*ss poor. this is great....what is it.....? a constructed piece of art...or something on the ground or what? DO TELL! seems like no matter what I ask...no one answers.....can't the photogs comment on their work after the challenge? title...right on....if I keep staring at this I'm gonna start wailing.....10

I saw 'it' immediately, then spent a long time trying to figure out what 'it' was created from - still haven't figured that out.
