Well a big hello from the Critique Club!

Gallatin, I think you have done very well with this shot. A lot of expanse here which can result in either a blank result, or a boring picture.

Yet you have filled the area well, and with your use of aperture - you have created a very big sense of depth.

Your location body wise is good, and composition pretty OK - yet i feel the scene lacks a certain snap about it.

I feel the sky could do with darkening slightly, by using a poloriser on your camera you can create gorgeous deep blue skys which in this case would work wonders. In photoshop you could; just use th burn tool or use selective color changes.

That aside a very good effort and worthy of the final 6.09 you received.

I like the warm muted colours and the overlapping curves. I find it a little busy though - wonder how it would like with the sky and the right edge cropped out?

Ah ha, there is color and life in a desert! :) Lovely shot. Perhaps it may be that the details are lost due to resizeing, but I hope that your larger photo shares this...won't knock down points for this...good luck.

Very good. Great colors and sharpness. You also captured a great depth by photographing the flowers at this angle.

Lovely! Lets use this as an example of leading lines! The line of flowers leads INTO the photo and makes the viewer both feel like part of the scene and want to look at it longer; Then the mini lines: a line of flowers leading to the far mountains and a line of flowers on the left leading to the main batch. Similarly the color yellow dupicates the flower shapes in leading lines. The yellow is so dynamis while the other colors in the picture are soothing and passive. Wow! Critiisim: is the horizon ever so slightly tilted down on the left? Thats a pet peeve of mine. 9

Very nice capture. The main thing that I would change is to crop/tilt the image slightly to overcome the very slight horizon issue. There are a considerable number of people that will mark down for the minor tweak you have in your horizon here.

The only other thing that I would do is play with some of individual color saturation levels to bring out a little more of the blues, yellows and perhaps the greens as well.

Overall a very nice shot, one that I would certainly like to emulate. However, I think you could have done more with levels, curves and contrast. For example, the blue sky and clouds should "pop" a bit more. The mountains along the horizon should also stand out a bit sharper. With the advantage of advanced editing rules, you can do these things and not compromise the integrity of your photo.

Nice picture! I like the way there are no footprints in the sand. Gives it a real professional looking quality.

That place looks really beautiful! Great photo too. Horizon might be a tad tilted but otherwise lovely. The colors are great. :)
