Finally some time to come and comment. I got the same impression as Brian. Confinement... likely self imposed, as is the weightless also offered up as an option. I thought of Thoreau when I first saw this after the challenge; the path he would take is clear, I hope, and now the choice is on the viewer. Always a joy to journey through images of this sort. Well done. |

I was completely speechless and boy, this is quite rare for me. My mind wandered ... I was in the forest and back on one of Tarkowsky's set for his masterpiece "The Mirror" (if you did not see it it's a MUST along with pretty much all his movies), then in Chekhov's world to find myself thinking of Bill Viola.
Of course, when I stepped back, the spell got torn just so little ... what if you would have made the grey of the sky/ceiling and window at left more transparent ...less "applied". What if. Oh, just forget it. (On second thoughts, do make it more transparent).
Magnificent image.

My top pick and a nine. Something about the feeling of confinement in an open forest -- and those horrifying tones. And if that weren't enough, you've singled me, the viewer, out for this sentence. |
