More zoology than botany but still an absolute jewel of a photo

Fascinating photo. Don't like the out of focus red blob in the background though.

Yikes! How creepy. I never knew aphids came in Christmas colors! Good macro.

WOW, these are colorful bugs - not what I was expecting from the thumbnail. And so many of them - they would sure strip a plant of leaves quickly. Nice capture!

How true, and a wonderful photograph, though if the aphids in my yard were this beautiful I might prefer them to my own gardening

This is sort of nice - if only it weren't bigs - If I imagine ir is something christmasy I love the colors and the pattern the colors make with the spikey black legs, I like the composition, even though it is so centered. all the creepies are creeping left, upside down or right side up. I like the vague out of DOF background, I like that there is no sense of scale, it helps make the bugs into an abstract pattern. They could be made of glass. please tell me they are teeny tiny - too small for me even to see. 8

To me this needs to be verticle, but still one of the best in this challenge.

Very interesting photograph but this would come under the term of zoology more. Also, the red at the top of the image is distracting.

This looks like a picture of fauna, not flora. Good colors, focus, DOF and background raise the score.

A photo that hits the theme squarely on the head. I would have prefered a ver sharp, crisp, clear picture and a more solid background. Best of luck. The transparent colors of the mites is (are) great.
