I can't believe people didn't think this met the challenge. In a way that is truly scary ... oh there is a bug .. and this is a "plant life" photo ... and someone explain to me how bugs are not part of a plants life ?? I dont know how the 3 winners combined all meet the challenge more than this. Too bad people can't think outside their small limited box.

| Love your picture of the copper beetle (I think that is what they are called.) Great detail and well composed. I like your choice of depth of field - your bug is nicely focused and the rest nicely blurs out. However, I think this photo is more focused on the bug than the botany -not meeting the challenge very well. |

| Nice shot, but beetle distracts ever so slightly from the challenge although you have got a plant and there is life. |
