 Although not a traditional "macro" I think this photo represents the genre by focusing on the minutia of the day, ordinary things that at a "macro" level are often overlooked in everyday life. This lamp to me almost looks like a figure leaning against the wall, tucked in a dark alley. Somewhat mysterious, but purposeful at the same time.

Editing consisted of crop and minor tweaks to exposure and contract in Aperture 3. The vignetting is a natural result of the image. Unfortunately, I didn't shoot this in RAW, but hi-def JPG.

Like many on this site, I chose not to take "macro" literally. It's more metaphorical. Glad you like the shot.
