 It took way more work to get this than it should have. It was taken just after sunrise, so I tromped through the head high frost/water covered grass for around 40 minutes, drenching my pants (this was after I shrugged off needing my waterproof pants...). Then I decided to cross to river. There was no bridge or any way to cross, so I just waded, in my already drenched pants, in the freezing river. Then, since I had left my tripod back in town, not thinking I'd be taking this picture, I had to put the waterproof cover on my backpack and lay it in the river to provide a stable support for the shot.
Lesson for anybody reading this-come prepared for when your eyes get bigger than your preparedness, or suffer the consequences.
None of the leaves in this photo were present when the foliage challenge was announced :(

Well spotted scene. beautiful light and colors. Would be stronger if the foreground were sharper, but very nice.
