 His name is Gordy, he's been Gored

Got a free pumpkin, only problem it was green.... I saw a pumpkin with a face painted on it that had a stake driven into it which was my inspiration, the one I saw was a flat deflated pumpkin which would have been better but the face was drawn on rather than carved. I messed up the carving a little, the way I envisioned the face was more contorted to convey pain but I can't draw worth a lick so this is how it ended up. I really lick the end product just not sure how a green pumpkin will score but the green may actually look better than an orange one as far as the contrast of the face. Should be interesting. Shot a lot of takes and included lights in the back ground by accident but the bokeh of the lights seemed to add to the shot so went out and intentionally included the lights. Taken on Halloween and had a lot of teens come by to see what I was doing and they loved the pumpkin.

Thought pretty seriously about naming the image "Hate Crime Victim" kind of a play on hate because of color but choose a lighter title.

Perhaps you could have got the teens to pose looking menacing or perhaps performing the wicked act!!
