I certainly had a lot of fun with this shoot so I hope you enjoy it!!

I achieved this look by having the model hold two 18' black lights just below and in front of her face. The earrings and necklace were the break and glow kind you can pick up at the store and the makeup was specifically designed for use with black lights to make it glow. Add the blue wig and we were ready to shoot. I used a tripod so that I could shoot at a slower shutter speed- since I wanted to have the makeup and jewelry have that glowy look I needed to allow enough time to develop- almost like painting with light.

My editing for this wasn't to involved. I cleaned up the skin- because the black light highlights all of your imperfections. I also touched up the makeup because I was nearly impossible to have it go one as neatly as we would have liked. Finally I darkened the eyes because the grayed out eyes from the black light were really creepy and not really the look I was envisioning.

That's it! Had a ton of fun shooting it so I hope you enjoy it!

I love that you have achieved this look without a load of Photoshop work - well done on a striking image :)

A creative and very different effort. Don't let the opinion of the collective stop you from trying such interesting things.

Usually I'm not a fan of negative images, but it works for this. Did a screen grab and inverted it to see what it looked like normal and found this is not a negative. Black light, I suppose?

Clever technique but I cannot connect with any message.
