 This is the view between floors in this glorious reading room at the State Library of Victoria, in Melbourne, Australia.

I like the illusion of the ball lamp seeming to be sitting in the middle of the room.

It took several tries to line it all up properly.

The arch framing the shot is just like the one across the room, seemingly behind the place where the ball lamp is attached at the top. And the balls of light in the arches left and right of that one are the same as the ball lamp in this shot.

Editing was the usual contrast and color adjustments, plus HDR to combine three exposures.

this tilt shift effect would have been great i think, the light in the centre detracts i feel from the image but nice idea
