 Typo on the title. It should read : Northern Shoveler

November brings the Shovelers south from further up north. They stay until the water freezes over. Then they continue further south in search of open water. This one is a male and he has most of his brilliant green breeding plumage. The fall leaves cast a nice color on the lake for this shot.
