Mariuca pointed me to this one - does remind me of one of my more recent shots, but the pier in mine is still quite functional! I like how they're all standing guard... |

Wonderful picture in an end-of-the-world tonality.
They'll peregrinate a little and then they'll fall like thunderstruck.

Interesting. Initially I was not particularly interested with this photograph, but I stayed and watched, perhaps because of the wave encased between the two triplets of seagulls.
Coupled with the title, a very melancholic feeling. I can hear the silence, and the relentless murmuring of the sea. Makes me think it won't be the birds, but the sea itself to take over with quiet indifference. Successions and take overs are just human illusions, the sea was there before and it will be there after, indifferent.
