 I can't explain why sharp focus is unimportant, maybe even irrelevant to me. I enjoy the shapes & shadows & the extravagant color combinations of lilies. I like the way the air looks so clear.

I really love this, but think it might benefit from a square crop.

I guess it's the contrast between "in focus" and "out of focus" that makes a photo interesting. Wonderful flower btw.

Indeed... I love the colors, shapes, and tones. Having a bunch of sharp stuff to look at, would lessen this image.
