 The Mormon Temple in the Oakland hills went all-out this year lighting up their impressive garden plaza, as seen from the overflow parking lot across the street.

Met some nice folks who showed me a path affording a different (clear) view of the building, and the truck marked "Temple Security" twice drove past in the parking lot without bothering to stop and ask what I was doing.

-Tripod, timer, manual mode
-White Balance: Tungsten
-Focal length 54mm (35mm EQ)
-Cloned out one power line
-Noise-reduction with PictureCooler
-RGB Curve
-Crop from top and right
-Resize
-USM at 12%/48 dia/TH = 0
-USM at 66%/0.6 dia/TH = 5 (applied twice)
-Enlarge Canvas to make black border
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 9/10 = 278KB

Thinking about WHERE Jesus was born, a palm tree is the only real Christmas tree. Gorgeous scene with a stunning sky
