I tried quite a few times to get this shot but it's notoriously windy here. We had a high wind warning period for a large part of December which made it even worse; shooting here was just not possible because all of the salt spray that would cover the front of the lens. The last week of the month cleared so I was able to get this shot.

I think I was over-exuberant in the processing...hehe. It looked good to me but the common reaction was it was overdone...live and learn.

I must like the overprocessed look then, I gave this a 10 and expected it on the front page. This was one of my favs in the challenge.

Yes, it is over-processed Mark, but it doesn't matter, you won the FSM and you must be really proud of it! Huge congrats! :)
