My first photo of 2012.

Shortly after midnight I heard some fireworks close by. Looking out the bedroom window I could see some rather uninteresting fireworks being fired off in quick succession. As I rarely see them, I thought I'd see if I could make anything out of them. I didn't have time to change lenses or set up a tripod, so this is a 30 second exposure handheld. I didn't have time to get more than this one shot - not very exciting, but better than the real thing.

fantastic treatment of fireworks. I am not a fan of the genre, but this is a great shot.
