The top half is great, nice skin tone and colour then it seems to go double with a foot in the middle maybe you wanted this effect but it is confusing to look at

The lighting in this image has been artistically executed. The image portrays a sense of strength combined with suppleness, like a quiet gentle strength. I think this image could also be cropped tight around the hands and shoulder area because this central area of the photo seems to be a condensed representation of the whole image. Its a beautiful image.

Nice play on light. I can't hold my hand's like that. I tried & nearly got a cramp
Composition & focus are great.

given your title, and the strained pose, I would have focused the lighting more on the hands rather than the curve of the back.

returning for comments.

A very good study. The flexing adds interest and the lighting is very good. I would have tamed the highligh at the hip a bit more, but all in all, this is a very nice entry.

Absolutely outstanding! The pose and crop are very effective, as is the black background. I wish the top were a little more exposed so I could make out at least the outlines of the head. Since the hands are the subject, I'd like to see them a little more clearly also. Great job though!

Interesting shot, good use of light. The shot has too much of an orange tint for my eyes. The composition doesn't quite work for me... cropped very close on the left, but loose on the right. I'm assuming the stretched arm pose is for a study in light and shadow on the musculature, but here the light has missed most of the muscles, and instead shows the fat on the back in a slightly unflattering way.
I hope this hasn't been too critical, but I feel this could have been a great photo with these points addressed.

Man, I saw Tiger woods doing this a few months back and i try it - I can't reach and I am only 28.

The photo is well lit - perhaps a little to much warmth for my tastes. I would also like to see the light reach more, the upper arms need a bit more light on them. The pose is ok - kind of like a stretch rather than a photographic model pose.

A very competent entry, but lacking any wow factor.

i feel that a little more presence of the head would have made this a stronger photo, as is the head seems unnnaturally absent. great lighting and detail in the hands.
