Walking along river banks in Upper Buffalo River Wilerness area and spotted this freshly cut rose laying on the gravel bar. No one else in area, no cars in paring area - no clue as to where it came from. A mystery! Other than the photo, I left it undisturbed.

nice find, is that your shadow though? id have moved my self or the rose to take advantage of that light if a little harsh but better than the shadows

You should make up a history for it! I love the brightness of the red in contrast to the rocks around it.

Some one must have dropped it, too clean to come from the river. I'd be inclined to darken the upper part of image to make rose the bright spot.

Ooh I love a good mystery. What an interesting find. Maybe someone will stumble across this photo some day and give you an answer.
