| This is very dark on my monitor and the center detail which I am sure is very nice is all but lost. Not much in the way of selective focus, either, except the stem. Red and black are good together so the background choice is good imo. |

| bit dull and flat needed more light and more dramatic light, and more interest to pull me in to look at it longer than 2 seconds |

| Decent composition and cool flower. To my eyes, i seems like the flower could be sharper. |

| Though this clearly meets the challenge and is a good shot, there is not much in the background to show off the shallow depth of field. |
