There was no question as to what I would submit as the 'Best of 2011". No matter how this performs, submitting this has a personal message to my eldest daughter. She IS beautiful - I hope one day she will grow comfortable with herself; that she will finally hear the inner song that will make her self-esteem blossom. My children, my family, are my "Best of" always.

Back in March I did a photo shoot. As I was setting up for the shoot, I saw this opportunity. This is my eldest when I caught her in a rare candid moment of daydreaming. I have tried since then to capture a moment just like this but to no avail. I just love how the wind blows her hair and how it frames her beautiful face. It's as if the wind is playing music only she can hear. Perhaps... a song on the wind will help her in her life journey to find and like herself.

I love the "naturalness" of this...


It stands far apart from the obvious model situation scenes.
