I'm convinced that if this cat was able to appreciate photography it would be thrilled with this portrait.

When you said "cam resing on a tripod but not attached" I assumed at first that your cat's name was cam, and I thought, "well, thank goodness for that!". But I realise now that I was mistaken.

Somehow, this reminds me of an illustration that you would find in a children's book, when the cat is talking. The stretched highlights in the eyes are icing on the cake for this too.

Symbolism I see: The cat can see to the right while looking to the left, or It's just a flick of the eye.

I think he's morphing. The nose and mouth are rather humanish. There's a somewhat surprised face on the wall left of cat's head.

The hint of teeth in this suggests the cat is speaking. Rare words of wisdom, I'm sure.
