Agree with what all the others have said. One more thing I learnt here is that the eye is attracted to the lighter parts of the photo normally. In this shot the background is lighter than the bird and my eye isnt fixated on the bird. Probably not much you could have done about it but it would have been better with you standing on the other side of the bird with the bird being brighter then the BG.
Having said that - you controlled your exposure well as backlit subjects arent the easiest things to expose properly. |

I agree with the other commenters. This is a really good shot. The bokeh like background its a wonderful contrast to the bird and the sharpness and clearity of the bird is excelent!
