i have taken many other photos that would do better on DPC, but this has remained in my memory. i have also taken photos with better compositions and are classically more appealing.... but this one resonates in my memory. I hope i am not mistaken that something is in this....

Evidently not totally, judging by the gold or silver armband on her night arm. Not sure why she'd be sitting naked on a cold tile floor along a wall - maybe a corner, but just along a wall? Not sure her curled up right foot adds to the image or not, but it does stand out as a difference from the rest of her pose. You've done a pretty good job of balancing subdued light for the mood with adequate light to capture skin tone. Having her hair cover her face gives more of an impression of hiding than being forgotten. This seems like a really tough shot - a high bar to reach, and I'm being really picky...

She does look like she has been forgotten. The lighting and the pose get the message across.

The gray and grain add to a sense of forlorness (though I doubt that's an actual word). Overall feels murky and depressing.

I like the Black and Whit but it appears to be more grainy than I would like

Interesting idea, I like the dark hair over her face, reminds me of typical Korean horror movies (which I love.) The image is a bit noisy though and the focus isn't very strong. I think a less square crop would have been good too, maybe showing a little more of her surroundings, this crop doesn't leave me much to wonder about - is she trapped in the corner, is she alone in the room, etc.

Unglamorous and unsettling. The lo-fi feel of the image further drives the point home. Good.
