Taken of myself without using a timer, in a 'studio' of a dark blanket draped over two tall chairs, and the camera balanced on a milk crate and roll of masking tape. I used two desk lamps for lighting.

Haha. Yeah, they were good enough to get me some credits. Though I got this over a year before I took the picture...dug up the envelope for the challenge.

Could use a little more DOF to bring the envelope more in focus. Other than that it's a good choice for this challenge

lol, I remember that one... took 9 AP classes, 6 5's and 3 4's :-)

Great idea for the challenge--so far I have not seen too many photos that are really hopeful without the title conveying what the photographer wanted us to feel. I do however feel that the overall photo is a little dark. Some of the levels should have been brought up a bit.
