Looks like a tired dog who would just as soon stop for a drink and a nap, but soldiers on because he wants to stay with his human more than anything. Very Lab-like :-)

Nice contrast in the light and shadows. The dog on the left looks a little bit like he is being pulled along by his owner due to the bunching of the skin around the collar. I'm not sure if that conveys the emotion you were going for.
