btw i know that the horizon isn't flat or horizontle (<-- forget the misspelling) but the building is. see? the right angle? the walls are verticle! :)

i wonder if a 'skew' on the image is in order here to all the building to be straight as well as the horizon

this one is okay but i like the tree and the clouds better - richer in b/w conversion imo

I don't mind the tilt. I think it worlds for this composition.

Yes, I was puzzling that out too.
Suggestion? Split the difference. the building is old and could probably stand to be a bit tilted
so as to keep that horizon straight enough to 'read' correctly.
Just a thought, of course.

This is neat! I would also prefer a flat horizon, unless you showed more the of the building on the right. A lovely, clear shot, though.

This works really in B&W. Slightly skew horizon isn't an issue for me. To me, it almost gives the impression that the house may start sliding to the left.

I vote for flat horizon too, but I'm boring. :)

Yes, the walls are vertical, but given the choice between a flat horizon or a straight vertical wall, I'd tend to opt for the horizon... especially when the horizon is this far off horizontal.

That said... great location, nice picture.
