thanks for the nice comments...this was taken in burke lake in virginia.

edit: i guess i'll explain some things. this picture is of me and my girlfriend. since the lcd doesn't really show details that much, i didn't know my head was partially hidden.

still, im very happy with my score, no 1's is pretty nice. :)

If the boy's head was fully visable you would have a real winner.

Cute idea - and it works very well in the sepia-like colors. I'd crop the tree in the left top corner totally out.

That looks like Algonquin park in Canada. Send me a message and let me know where this was taken if you can. Thanks :) -8-

I like it overall, but I think his sillouhette would be better if his head wasn't in the distant trees, if you see what I'm saying.

Good idea and a nice silhouette. You should have made sure the boy silouhette did not merge with the bush on the right though.

tree hanging into frame at upper left a little distracting. I like the distance between the boy and the girl, it's just right. Nice tone.

Nice composition and tone. The boys position is a bit to far to the right or you shoot the picture too far to the left?

Oh, this is so close to being so much better that I have to comment. Moving the boy a little closer to her and getting the top of his head out of the trees would do wonders for this shot. Also, turning her head more torward him so that we can clearly see that she is looking at him would improve the feeling of hope. It's a great idea and I really hope you reshoot it with just some minor changes. I love it.

I love this picture. It's beautiful. The way the girl is looking "hopefully" towards the boy really conveys the sentiment. Great job!

Very strong idea. The postures and body language of the subjects speaks loudly. The composition of the scene is lovely too. Very strong entry.

THe branches in the top left hand corner are quite distracting, otherwise an image I like.
